Alson Mestari is the main villain of The Magic Heart. He is a terrozard (a terrorist wizard) who wants to take The Magic Heart away from Princess Matilda and use its incredible magical power for himself. He commands an army of monsters and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Alson is the Kingdom of Finallo's most wanted and has an intense hatred for Matilda and the kingdom. His obsession with The Magic Heart has become so extreme that he spends his time plotting ways to take it back. He is particularly furious whenever Matilda succeeds in collecting another gemstone. And he will not hesitate to kill anybody that is on Matilda's side.

Alson is intelligent, manipulative, and cruel. Rather than simply attacking Matilda himself, he uses his monsters and minions to track her movements and gather information about her quest. He orders his lead Slender to discover where Matilda and Thomas are and where they will be traveling next.

Alson also has a disturbing way of expressing his hatred. In his tower office, he paints horrifying pictures depicting the destruction of Finallo, the deaths of its people, and Matilda's defeat. To Alson, these paintings aren't just artwork—they are visions of what he wants to make reality.

Although Alson is dangerous, he doesn't always get what he wants. Matilda and Thomas have already defeated several of the obstacles he expected to stop them, including the Ice Dragon. Every time they succeed, Alson becomes even more determined to defeat them.
